Ascalon Titan quest - with henches?
So I finally soloed Guildwars with my mesmer. All missions done with henchmen only, from start to finish. Except Aurora Glade.
Anyway, after finishing off the lich, I took the Titan quests. The first one, in south shiverpeaks, was quite easy with henches. Then I jumped to Frontier Gate for the next.
And there, on the ravaged fields of Ascalon, ended my quest to solo everything with henches.
I wonder - has anyone managed to do the Ascalon titan quest with henches? If so, how?

You might as well go solo for all the effect the henchmen will have. And if you can solo those areas, you're far better than I am because they were challenging for me with full groups.
Personally, one of the things that most annoys me about PvE is how Arenanet came up with this awesome idea for loners like me in the form of henchmen... then adds more and more content that cannot be played with them, thus wasting that great idea. 4 of 5 titan quests can't be done with henchmen, 2 Sorrow's Furnace quests can't be done with henchmen (ok, technically the High Priest quest is completeable, but it's torture), the Underworld and Fissure can't be done with henchmen, the Bloodstone Fen bonus can't be done with henchmen, and in the Ring of Fire henchmen are in some cases worse than most PUGs with the way they happily jump into lava.
It's really too bad.

There's a trick to it. The enemies that attack the High Priest spawn when 1) you attack the mobs guarding the crystal, and 2) when you pick up the crystal. Fire your bow at the mob, run back to the priest; go back and kill of the crystal-mob, pick it up, run back to the priest.
Personally I found the "summit slave" quest more annoying. It was not a bad idea, but the amount of jogging was excessive. I spent probably an hour just jogging back and forth.
PS; In the summit slave quest, pick up the siege golems, but hammer them to ice cubes LAST. They will follow you around and act like artillery for you in the other missions.

Yes. That one was painful. Especially as there was seemingly ALWAYS those meteor shower spamming imps at the end of each lava pool, so not only would the henches stay in the lave and burn while fighting, they would also not get out of the area of effect of the meteor showers. Pain!

I think we all should appreciate how Mhenlo, Alesia, and Lina have such an affinity for Maelstroms. You just see their life bars drop slowly while they stay still and continually try to cast heals on each other...no matter how much you try to make them move.

Bloodstone Fen bonus can be done with henchies. Just need to hit the spirits in the right sequence and keep the henchies busy killing spiders rather than guardians.
ROF is very doable with henchies apart from standing in lava, which isn't really that bad.

It Droknars (duh) kind of near the storage but a bit to the left, you kneel at that statue of glint with a man standing next to it and you speak to glint who gives you the quest. 20k xp
